Informal work-related adult education activities that take place without an instructor. Examples of such activities include on-the-job demonstrations by a supervisor or coworker; on-the-job mentoring or supervised training; self-paced study using books, videos, or computer-based software; attendance at brown-bag or informal presentations; and attendance at conferences, tradeshows, or conventions related to one’s work or career.

Informal Learning - Occurs in everyday life and may not even be recognized as learning by the individual. For example, using a television guide may not be equated by an individual as having learned how to use a table. Related concepts/terms include: incidental learning.

Das Glossar gehört zu Adult Learning - from Theory to Practice, einem Online-Kurs aus Kanada, entwickelt im 2002. Er kann alleine oder in Gruppen in verschiedenen Formaten, on- und offline absolviert werden. Er fokussiert das individualiserte und ‹flüssige› Erwachsenenlernen, das flexibles Handeln und Methoden von TutorInnen verlangt.
Inhalte: Theorie des Erwachsenenlernens, Praxis, Einflussfaktoren auf das Erwachsenenlernen, Tips für TutorInnen. Jedes Modul schliesst mit einem Multiple Choice Selbsttest ab. Dazu gibt es Empfehlungen für die Vertiefung, eine grosse Linksammlung zu verschiedensten Themen, alle Kurse und das Glossar als PDF zum Download.
lernundenter: sehr empfehlenswert für Lehrende, KursleiterInnen in der Erwachenenbildung und auch für andere pädagogisch Tätige. Die Inhalte sind innerhalb verlinkt.
